Overview
I interned at Oasis International Treasury Management, part of the Al Shirawi Group, a diversified conglomerate in Dubai. Oasis provides treasury management, cash handling, and secure financial solutions to corporate and institutional clients across the region. I was introduced to the core principles of treasury operations and gained an understanding of how financial infrastructure supports large-scale business activity.
This was a specialised area of finance I hadn't previously explored — and it gave me a clear picture of how the behind-the-scenes financial systems of large organisations actually operate.

Observed how Oasis operates within a highly regulated financial environment with strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and security. Learned how operational transparency is maintained in line with international financial standards.

Gained exposure to documentation, reporting, and cross-department coordination. Observed how different teams collaborate to deliver seamless treasury solutions, and developed an appreciation for the organisational structure.

Understood how secure platforms and structured processes are used to monitor transactions, minimise risk, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Saw how modern financial services rely on both human oversight and technological systems.
